BKT strengthens presence in French football

BKT will become the new title sponsor of Ligue 2, the second football division in France. The sponsorship is set to run from the 2020/21 to the 2023/24 season. The league will be renamed the Ligue 2 BKT.

The agreement was recently reached between BKT and Ligue de Football Professionel (LFP), the organisation over professional football in France.

The tyre maker is also currently the title sponsor of the French league cup, the Coupe de la Ligue BKT.

Commenting, Lucia Salmaso, MD of BKT Europe said: “This new sponsorship perfectly falls under the growth strategy of our brand awareness. We are already title sponsor of the second Italian football championship, which is played in cities where agriculture – our main market – is among the most developed sectors.

“Starting from the coming season, we will do the same in France – getting closer and closer to our users, the farmers, sharing with them the passion for football and sport.”
