Apollo Vredestein expands popular Quatrac range
As all season tyres gain popularity in Europe, Apollo Vredestein continues to consolidate its market position with the expansion of its Vredestein Quatrac 5 range with the Y-speed index as well as a special SUV version.
The company has an enviable track record in this segment andintroduced its first Quatrac all season tyres in 1993 and unveiled the completely new generation of four season tyres, the Vredestein Quatrac 5 in 2014.
The Vredestein Quatrac is not only the choice of consumers in countries where winter tyres are obligatory, this highly rated and safe all-round tyre is also popular in more moderate winter climates, such as the UK, Italy and France.
Drivers no longer need to change tyres between seasons and, thanks to the Three Peak Snow Flake symbol on its sidewall, every Vredestein Quatrac meets the legal requirements for winter tyres. The current range consists of five versions of the Quatrac, available in sizes 13 to 19 inch and speed indexes T to Y.
The Vredestein Quatrac was developed as an all season tyre from the outset and integrates Apollo Vredestein’s knowledge and experience in both summer and winter tyres. Optimal performance in all weather conditions, on all road surfaces and at all temperatures was a priority in the tyre’s development, which resulted in a unique tyre appearance consisting of a specific summer and winter design merged into one tyre. The tyres are a perfect fit for urban street use and excellent applications for the Vredestein Quatrac products are compact and mid-size cars, SUV’s and vans.
The latest member of the family, the Vredestein Quatrac 5, is the product of decades of experience in all season tyres. The special rubber compound and unique summer and winter side of the tread ensure both optimal grip and safety, while also providing the Vredestein Quatrac 5 with green labels for rolling resistance and braking distance on wet surfaces, and low sound levels.
