Apollo Vredestein exhibits at Top Marques Monaco
This year, the “Top Marques” trade fair is being held in Monaco for the tenth time in succession. As the name of the event and its location indicate, this is an exclusive, stylish presentation of top brands in lively Monaco. Vredestein will also be displaying its newest top tyre, the Ultrac Vorti R, made for the cars that define the street scene of the miniature principality.
This year, Top Marques is taking place from April 18-21, in the Grimaldi Forum in Monte Carlo. As well enjoying the most beautiful cars on offer, visitors can also view jewellery and watches, luxury goods, yachts and even helicopters. With its premium styling concept, Vredestein is creating a world of experiences for visitors in Monaco. Cars on the stand include a Hamann BMW M6, and other partners of Vredestein will also be at the trade fair, including Vencer, the new Dutch sports car manufacturer.
Top Marques in Monaco creates a unique and spectacular setting for Vredestein to introduce the press to the Ultrac Vorti R. Visitors can actually take a drive in a Hamann BMW M5 and on some very special tarmac: the famous Monaco street circuit where the GP Formula 1 is being held on 26 May. There is also a Hamann Mercedes-Benz SLS Cabriolet, fully equipped with the Vredestein colours and styling as well boasting the Ultrac Vorti R — so the presence of the Dutch tyre manufacturer will be almost impossible to miss. This press event will take place on 17 and 18 April.
At the start of 2013, Vredestein began collaboration with Hamann Motorsport GmbH, a leading company specialising in customising and finishing top-class cars. Hamann’s current portfolio includes brands such as BMW, Aston Martin, Rolls-Royce, Mercedes-Benz and Range Rover. Vredestein developed a tyre for the BMW M5 and M6 where the sidewall is branded with the Hamann logo, and there is a specific rear axle version of this Ultrac Vorti R that is tailored to the high power seen in rear wheel drive vehicles.
Apollo Vredestein introduced its latest Ultra High Performance tyre, the Ultrac Vorti R, at the Geneva Motor Show. Compared to the Ultrac Vorti, the emphasis with the Ultrac Vorti R still lies with ensuring grip and sporty driving ability under the most extreme circumstances, such as on a racing circuit. The Ultrac Vorti R was developed in close collaboration with Italian design company Giugiaro. The profile is asymmetric and sleek, with carbon accents on the sidewall and in the tread as a special design feature. The Ultrac Vorti R is supplied with speed rating (Y), which indicates that this tyre is suitable for speeds exceeding 186 MPH.
