Alan Lynch wins Patch Tyre Equipment Porsche 911 competition

An employee of John Bass Tyres, in Gorey, Co. Wexford has won a drive in a Porsch 911 supercar, courtesy of workshop equipment specialists, Patch Tyre Equipment.
Alan Lynch, who entered the competition online, is the lucky winner of the competition run by Patch Tyre Equipment and Mondello Park.

Speaking to TyreTrade.ie this morning Alan said: “I’m delighted. It was a spur of the moment decision to enter the competition. I am really looking forward to my drive in the Porsche 911 supercar.”

Patch Tyre Equipment organised the drive in the Porsche 911 supercar to coincide with the company’s sponsorship of the Fiesta Championship at Mondello Park this year.

The series, for lightly modified Ford Fiestas built between 1996 and 2001, is already looking like a winner with a mixed field of new and experienced drivers set to hit the track for their first race later this month.

Drivers have been attracted to the series by its low cost and the promotional package put in place by Patch Tyre Equipment and Mondello Park. The huge interest in the championship is proof that a well organised championship with a low cost of entry can attract full grids even in a tough economic climate.
