ZC Rubber unveils new Westlake and Tianli OTR tyres
ZC Rubber has unveiled new OTR tyre products from its premium brands Westlake and Tianli, at the Bauma construction machinery show in Munich.
At the show, the Westlake 29.5R25 CB740 tyre made its debut, which has been specifically designed for articulated dump trucks. Featuring a robust block tread design, the tyre is said to offer enhanced ground contact, stability, and superior resistance to punctures and wear.
The tread depth has been increased by 17 per cent compared to the TRA standard E-4 pattern, effectively extending the tyre’s service life. Additionally, the multi-compound design adapts to various operating conditions, while the upgraded sidewall compound boosts puncture resistance by 10 per cent and reduces crack propagation by 15 per cent.
Westlake also presented the 35/65R33 CB398 for underground mining trucks and the 290/90-20 EL08 for wheel excavators, underscoring its expertise in high-demand, heavy-duty operations.
The new 800/45-30.5 Forest Grip tyre features an open tread design that significantly enhances self-cleaning capability. Primarily designed for forestry equipment, its unique tread structure evenly distributes engine power across the contact surface, reducing slippage and maximising power efficiency. With excellent flotation, cut resistance, and traction, it is also well-suited for articulated dump trucks operating in challenging off-road conditions.
Elsewhere at Bauma, Tianli highlighted the latest 460/70R24 BackTrack Radial Supreme, a versatile radial tyre designed for agricultural machinery such as backhoes and telehandlers. With a robust tread base design, it is claimed to offer superior traction and wear resistance. The reinforced shoulder design further improves stability and puncture resistance, making it well-suited for demanding environments.
“At ZC Rubber, we are committed to engineering tire solutions that support the toughest applications and help our customers drive productivity,” said Benjamin Lou, global OTR director, ZC Rubber. “Our new Westlake and Tianli products reflect our focus on durability, performance, and reliability, developed through close collaboration with field operators and OEM partners.”
