Japanese high performance tyre manufacturer Yokohama has been chosen by Mazda as Original Equipment for the latest version of the famed sports car, the MX5.
The latest version of the iconic two-seater will be fitted with the ADVAN Sport V105 tyre from the factory, the latest addition to Yokohama’s flagship ADVAN range.
The V105 has been developed specifically to provide high performance sports saloons, sports and supercars with response, grip, safety and comfort and has already been selected by numerous manufacturers for exactly these reasons.
Sized 195/50R16 84V, the V105 will be fitted to the new MX5 model when it is launched in the UK in the summer of 2015.
Mazda is part of a growing range of manufacturers adopting Yokohama tyres as OE fitment, including Audi, for the RS6 and RS7, Mercedes-Benz across a multitude of models and Porsche on the Panamera and Cayenne.
The new Mazda MX5 is described by the manufacturer as the latest embodiment of the world’s best-selling two-seater sports car. Rear-wheel drive and 50/50 weight distribution helps to deliver what Mazda says is ‘an exhilarating drive’.
Yokohama dealers are expecting stock imminently to prepare for the launch of the MX5 in the UK in the summer.
