Wheel design and manufacturing services at Agrigear

With over 40 years’ experience, the highly skilled and experienced team at Agrigear Tyre and Wheel Specialists has an unrivalled wealth of technical expertise in providing wheel solutions. At its busy manufacturing site in the County Cavan countryside, Agrigear provides first-class wheel rim manufacturing and modification services to farmers, contractors, machinery traders and machinery manufacturers throughout Ireland.

Agrigear’s product portfolio of wheels is expansive. The company’s strength in technical expertise means that tailored solutions can be offered, and bespoke products designed and manufactured to suit individual customer requirements and technical specifications. Agrigear also provides Original Equipment Manufacturers with ideal wheel configurations for their machines.

Tractor, loader, earthmover and implement wheels can be custom-made to suit a customer’s machine to improve its functionality and performance; these wheels are available with a powder-coated paint finish in a wide variety of colours. In addition, a wheel can be altered to fit a different vehicle by machining or replacing the centre. Alternatively, by fitting the centre in a different position within the rim, the tramline of the vehicle can be altered to suit.

Agrigear offers an extensive range of rowcrop tyres and wheels to suit tractors, sprayers, spreaders and other machinery carrying out planting, spreading, spraying and harvesting work. The team produce tailor-made fixed and adjustable rowcrop wheels, designed and manufactured to customer specifications to suit tramlines and unique requirements. Rim colours are matched to the customer’s tractor or machine, in powder-coat finish for maximum durability.

Agrigear also offers wheel rim modification services where a customer’s existing rims are adapted to fit rowcrop tyres. A wheel can be altered to fit a different vehicle by machining or replacing the centre. Alternatively, by fitting the centre in a different position within the rim, the tramline of the vehicle can be altered to suit. Furthermore, heavy-duty rowcrop wheels can also be manufactured to a customer’s unique specifications.

Agrigear provides a wheel reconditioning service where a customer can have a set of wheels cleaned and re-painted to look as good as new. With a typical reconditioning job, the wheel is completely cleaned down to the bare metal by shot-blasting. Any damage is repaired and then given a powder-coated primer and finish coat. Reconditioning of chipped or rusted wheels makes a huge difference to the look and value of any tractor or machine.
