Tyre prices rise in Europe
The European Rubber Journal is today reporting that higher costs of raw materials, particularly natural rubber, has prompted further price rises by major tyre manufacturers in Europe.
Michelin announced an 8 per cent increase in prices in Europe earlier this month (February), with Goodyear now reported to be planning a similar 8 per cent increase for consumer and commercial tyres sold in the region.
Continental is also reported to be moving to offset the impact of higher costs on its products.
