Top test results for Bridgestone Blizzak Winter Sports tyre
Investments in the latest winter tyre technology have paid off for Bridgestone, with the latest independent test results. In its 2013 Winter Tyre Test, ADAC describe the all-new Blizzak LM-32s as “very well balanced” and in the ADAC Motorwelt, as “a top runner in the wet”.
Recently published results from the latest Winter Tyre Test jointly conducted in September 2013 by three of Europe’s leading automobile clubs – ADAC, TCS and ÖAMTC – place the all-new Bridgestone Blizzak LM-32s a joint second out of 15 competing tyres. The tyre outperformed the competition on wet roads and achieved an impressive overall score of 2.2 (just 0.1 of a point behind the leader).
“Very well balanced, best-in-class in the wet, exceptionally good performance on dry roads, low fuel consumption.” – (ADAC Winter Tyre Test 2013, 09/2013)
The latest results follow hard on the heels of praise for the new Blizzak LM-32s from other sources. Bridgestone’s latest winter sport tyre was namely awarded the prestigious “TÜV Performance Mark” on the strength of independent benchmark tests conducted by German-based TÜV SÜD, one of the world’s leading technical services organisations*1. There, the Blizzak LM-32s emerged as the clear winner in the field for wet braking, lateral wet grip and straight-line resistance to aquaplaning. The Blizzak also beat all comers in the dry-braking test and was joint leader for braking performance in snow.
The Blizzak LM-32s is the outcome of new pattern and compound technologies which have resulted in excellent overall snow performance (braking and acceleration) and outstanding wet performance. Superior results in braking safety on wet and dry have also been achieved thanks to a new sipe layout with consistent depth, helping to create uniform pattern stiffness while braking in a variety of conditions.
