Thieves made off with up to 250 car tyres on Tuesday night, August 14 from a tyre retailer in Co. Kildare.
The break in occurred at Leixlip Budget Tyres, Unit 6, Ryebrook Industrial Estate, Leixlip, Co. Kildare on Tuesday night after 10.00pm. The thieves entered the premises after disabling the alarm.
TyreTrade.ie can confirm that the thieves made off with up to 250 car tyres, mostly in size 205/55/R16. Brands taken include: Bridgestone, Dunlop, Hankook, Kingstar, Nankang and Pirelli.
CCTV footage from adjacent buildings indicate that the thieves drove an Iveco box body truck.
If any member of the tyre trade is offered tyres, in suspicious circumstances, they should contact the Gardai Leixlip who are investigating the break in.
