Prometeon commemorates Brit European on 100-year anniversary

Prometeon Tyre Group recently celebrated a significant moment in the history of one of its longest-standing customers, Brit European, who is marking 100 years in business.

As a token of appreciation and recognition of this milestone, Prometeon’s UK and Ireland managing director Steve Tift presented a bespoke model truck — replicating Brit European’s striking golden anniversary livery — to Brit European MD Graham Lackey in a special ceremony at its headquarters.

Tift said: “This is more than just a celebration of a business anniversary — it’s about honouring a shared journey. Brit European has been with us through decades of evolution, and we’ve stood by them too, through industry shifts, brand changes, and innovations.

“The relationship we have is one of the purest partnerships I’ve seen. This model truck is a small gesture, but it represents something much bigger—trust, longevity, and mutual respect.”

Founded in 1924 as Carmans Transport, Brit European began with a single horse-drawn tanker collecting milk from farms in Cheshire. A century later, the Middlewich, Cheshire-based company has grown into a major European transport player, employing hundreds across the continent and operating some of the most technologically advanced equipment on UK roads.

Brit European has showcased four specially liveried gold trucks across the UK this past year, inviting the public to “Spot the Golden Truck” at events and on social media.
