Pirelli confirms attendance at annual Autosport Show
Pirelli will appear at the annual Autosport International Show in Birmingham where the Italian tyre manufacturer will showcase a motorsport-focused display that includes the new Pirelli Star Driver Citroen DS3 R3.
Running from 10-13 January, The Autosport International Show is an annual four-day motorsport event held at the NEC and is considered the curtain-raiser to the 2013 motorsport season. It gives drivers, as well as fans from all around the world, the chance to get together to be given a brief insight into the year that lies ahead.
Pirelli will bring four cars to the show: a MINI Cooper to represent the Pirelli-backed MINI Challenge, a Nissan GTR that is eligible for the Pirelli-backed GT Cup and a Pirelli-equipped Ferrari 458. Also on display will be a Pirelli-backed Citroen DS3 R3 that will be unveiled by recently-crowned Pirelli Star Driver, Mark Donnelly. Paul Hembery, Pirelli’s motorsport director, will also be in attendance at the show on Thursday 10 January.
Other exhibits include a Pirelli F1 merchandise sales counter where fans can buy a selection of items including a Pirelli replica podium cap at a specially reduced price. There will also be a Pirelli F1 simulator and Batak game present, where an overall prize for the best score will be up for grabs. All donations will go towards Pirelli’s chosen charity: Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.
