Nexen to supply OE tyres for the Kia EV6

Kia has selected Nexen Tire for the supply of original equipment tyres for its first electric car, the EV6.

The car will be available with a choice of either the Nexen Roadian GTX EV in size 235/55R19 101H or the Nexen N’Fera Sport EV in size 235/55R19 105V XL.

The latter tyre is said by Nexen to improve on high-speed stability and handling performance while providing maximum grip and braking power on both wet and dry surfaces.

According to Nexen, the Roadian GTX EV is a premium all-season tyre that meets all of the requirements of an electric vehicle in terms of safety, durability, and low noise.

The two electric vehicle tyres were designed and tailored to provide higher abrasion resistance as well as minimise tyre road noise by employing noise reduction system by about 5dB compared to existing products.
