New R&D appointments at CEAT

Indian tyre manufacturer CEAT has appointed Renji Issac as senior vice president of research and development and technology, replacing Peter Becker. Issac assumed his new role back in May.

Becker was responsible for quality tyre development and implementation in Europe between July 2017 and April 2023, and spearheaded product and brand development.

CEAT says Becker will still be available to its R&D technology and group strategy departments in an advisory capacity, as it implements new European growth targets.

Meanwhile, Frank Gilsdorf, general manager of the CEAT European Technical Center (CETC), has taken over responsibility for the European development department.

In the coming years, CEAT states that it aims to increase its involvement in the European passenger car market and expand its original equipment segment.
