New Magna TPMS can be installed in ‘under an hour’
OTR tyre manufacturer Magna has launched its new tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), designed to be as “plug & play and universal as possible”, allowing it to be installed in a large variety of vehicles in under an hour.
According to Magna, tyre removal is not necessary when installing its new TPMS, as it’s installed in the CAN-Bus port of the vehicle, and the sensors screw on the valves of the tyres. This reduces the downtime for installing significantly.
Magna says its new TPMS can monitor tyre pressure, fuel consumption, average speed and carried loads per haul per vehicle or per fleet, all from one dashboard.
Operators can receive notifications on their smartphone or smartwatch and set parameters and generate automated reports on the dedicated portal.
