Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd. is supplying its high-performance Dunlop Grandtrek AT23 and Grandtrek PT5A tyres to Toyota for use as factory standard tyres on its new Land Cruiser 300.
Over the years, the Sumitomo Rubber Group has supplied factory standard tyres for many generations of the Land Cruiser. In developing these new tyres for the Land Cruiser 300, the tyre maker says it drew upon the advanced technologies that its has cultivated through years of developing off-road tyres and SUV tyres.
The new Dunlop Grandtrek AT23 and Grandtrek PT5A tyres feature a new tread compound that provides greatly improved performance when it comes to fuel efficiency and wear resistance.
The Land Cruiser 300 will be available with the Grandtrek AT23 in size 265/65R18 114V and the Grandtrek PT5A in size 265/55R20 109V.
Sumitomo says the latter features a brand-new sidewall design which provides a “stylish and luxurious touch” between the vehicle and the road.
A spokesperson for the Sumitomo Rubber Group said: “Combining our years of knowhow from developing tyres for generations of the Land Cruiser with the latest technology, our Dunlop Grandtrek tyres contribute not only to the reliability and durability of the new Land Cruiser 300, but also to its fuel efficiency and riding comfort, as well.”
