The new GT Radial Savero SUV will be available in Europe this summer to meet demand in the growing SUV and CUV sectors, having excelled in independent benchmark tests.
Designed mainly for on-road driving, the launch marks a significant development in the GT Radial portfolio as it covers one of the fastest developing sectors in the automotive industry. Target vehicles include the Nissan Qashqai, Dacia Duster, Ford Kuga, Kia Sportage, Opel Mokka, VW Tiguan and the new Renault Kadjar.
Available in 22 sizes, including the hugely popular 215/65/R16, 215/60/R17, 225/65/R17, 235/65/R17 and 235/60/R18, rims range from 16-18″ across speed indices H-V, section widths from 215 to 265 and series sizes 55 to 70.
By using the latest compounding and design technologies, and led by Giti’s European R&D operations in Hannover, Germany and at MIRA in the UK, the tyre claims excellent on-road handling, short braking distances on wet surfaces, fuel efficiency, good mileage and a comfortable ride.
Key design features include four wide longitudinal grooves to provide superior wet performance through rapid drainage, geometrically optimised sipes with a combination of lateral sipes to further improve wet grip, and stiff circumferential ribs and shoulder blocks for optimal braking and driving stability.
The Savero SUV completes the GT Radial portfolio within this fast growing sector. At the start of the year Giti introduced the HPY SUV, an ultra high performance tyre designed for medium sized premium and large powerful SUV vehicles, with the Savero HT Plus covering speed indices R-H.
