The Japanese manufacturer of motorsport and high performance road tyres, Yokohama, has announced two exciting new high performance Original Equipment fitments.

Firstly, its latest addition to the flagship ADVAN Sport range, the V105, will be used on the new Audi TT RS. Sized 255/30ZR20 the Sport V105 will provide the grip, response and performance that the range-topping RS model deserves. This adoption comes soon after the same tyre pattern was chosen as OE fitment to the RS6 and RS7 variants and features the R01 specification Audi approved marking.

The V105 tyre has also been selected as original equipment on the latest evolution of the Porsche Cayenne. Sized 295/35R21 and marked ‘N2’ specification, the ADVAN Sport V105 will help deliver Porsche’s SUV its trademark grip and performance.

Yokohama ADVAN tyres have also been chosen as OE fitment on a range of high performance and supercars, including AMG Mercedes, Porsche, Lotus and Bentley.

The V105 has also excelled in testing, ‘winning’ last year’s Motorsport magazine tyre test in France and also the wet handling tests in the coveted Evo magazine tyre test here in the UK. This year, its stable mate, the ADVAN Neova AD08R, Yokohama’s most extreme road tyre and aimed squarely at track day enthusiasts, clearly won the dry handling tests in Evo’s 2014 tyre test.

The success of Yokohama’s high performance road tyre range is a direct result of the experience and expertise gained in motorsport. The brand has been the control tyre for the FIA World Touring Car Championship since 2006, for example, and is also control tyre for a host of race series around the world, including the BRDC Formula 4 Championship in the UK.

Both new Audi and Porsche models will arrive in the UK sporting Yokohama tyres and Yokohama HPT Ltd will be supporting the dealerships with replacement stock as required.
