More European OE fitments for Yokohama’s flagship tyre.
Following the trend of numerous automotive manufacturers to use Japanese high performance brand Yokohama tyres on some of their most enthralling cars, Porsche is the latest manufacturer to specify the Yokohama ADVAN Sport V105 tyres as Original Equipment on its models.
The German marque has chosen the ADVAN Sport V105 for the latest version of the Panamera, with 255/40ZR20 tyres for the front and 295/35ZR20 for the rear. Designated the ADVAN Sport V105 N-O, the new tyre has been developed specifically for the Panamera and the N-O designation indicates Porsche’s approval.
The Panamera is the third model in the Porsche line-up to feature Yokohama ADVAN Sport tyres as OE; the 911 and the Cayenne also feature tyres from the manufacturer’s range.
This latest fitment comes soon after the same tyre was chosen by Audi for the latest versions of its RS6 and RS7 models, viewed by many as some of the most rewarding drivers cars available, mixing ultra-high performance with comfort and practicality. Mercedes-Benz also chose the ADVAN Sport for various models in its range, including the C-Class and brand new S-Class.
Other manufacturers fitting Yokohama tyres as original equipment include Lotus, Ariel, Lexus and Subaru.
