Make Brityrex a top priority
For anyone interested in meeting new tyre suppliers, seeing the latest workshop equipment in action and catching up on the most topical business issues, spending a day at Brityrex in Manchester next in October should be a top priority.
“Brityrex is the UK’s only specialist tyre and equipment exhibition and a day spent at the show will be time very well spent,” says Paul Farrant of show organiser SingEx-ECI. “It’s a low-cost, high-return business investment we think everyone involved in the trade should consider making.”
Brityrex has been the UK’s premier tyre show since the late 1970s and while it has broadened and diversified to embrace all aspects of the industry over the past 40 years, tyres and everything associated with them remain a prime focus.
The exhibition brings together dozens of tyre manufacturers, distributors, brokers and agents covering all market sectors. Many new and emerging brands from across the world will be on show for the first time in the UK, offering opportunities for wholesalers and retailers to expand or supplement their current offers.
Pirelli, one of the world’s best-known tyre manufacturers, will be displaying its latest product lines at Brityrex. The Italian giant returns to the show after many years, a welcome sign that leading tyre makers are recognising the importance of connecting face-to-face with trade stockists and buyers. Michelin, another of the biggest global names in the industry, will also be at the show with its acclaimed UK training centre.
Passenger Car Radial (PCR) lines will be strongly represented by the likes of Pirelli, Nankang, Stamford, Nordic Tyres, Aufine, Maxtrek, Sentury Tire; Infinity from Bond International; exclusive brands from wholesalers Treadsetters, Silverline and Heuver Banden; an all-new PCR range from Aeolus, via its UK distributor Kings Road Tyres and Kingpin Tyres, the only UK PCR retreader.
The range of commercial tyre exhibitors at Brityrex reflects the fact that there are more truck tyre brands available in the UK than ever before. Truck, van, bus, coach, OTR and industrial products will be particularly prominent with Uniroyal, TORQUE, Matador, Membat, Zeta, Pace, Aeolus, Antyre, Blacklion, Double Coin, Advance, Italmatic, Shandong Wanda Boto, Doublestar, Duratti Tyre Corporation, Qingdao Odyking and Wanli from the South China Tire & Rubber Company all present at EventCity.
When it comes to the equipment, tools and consumables needed to remove, fit, balance, align, retread and repair tyres and wheels, Brityrex has the latest from many leading suppliers. These include equipment specialists Haweka UK, Hofmann Megaplan, Rema Tip Top Automotive, Supertracker and Harvie, plus TPMS, tools and consumables from Autogem, Tyresure and Italmatic. Demonstrations of the latest labour-saving, profit-enhancing equipment and technology will run on stands throughout the three-day show.
Specialist service suppliers to the tyre industry covering training, IT solutions, freight forwarding, tyre racking and storage, nitrogen inflation and pensions provision will also play an important role at the show. Look out for companies including Michelin Training Centre, MAM Software, Team Systems, Asset Systems, PCL, Maritime Cargo Services, Avex, Gebhardt, SDE Group, National Measurement Office and Blue Sky Pensions.
Free TyreTalk seminar programme Another key attraction of the exhibition is the programme of free technical seminars covering topical and current industry issues. Show sponsor, the National Tyre Distributors Association (NTDA), has brought together a diverse panel of expert speakers covering subjects including EU Tyre Labelling, Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems, the MoT and Waste Tyres.
