The Irish Tyre Industry Association (ITIA) is advising tyre technicians that it has limited availability on its upcoming Tyre Technician Development Programme which will begin in February at the Athlone Training Centre.
To date, there has been strong interest in the course and now there are only two places available to book.
Staff training and development is key to growing your business and for ITIA members the tyre technician training programme will ensure members are providing best in class service to all customers.
The Athlone Training Centre is part of Longford Westmeath Education Training Board and is committed to delivering an extensive range of training courses to its clients. As the training centre already delivers training for motor mechanics, the expertise in this area will be used to deliver the majority of the modules.
This programme has been introduced to raise the standard of tyre technicians throughout Ireland. The programme represents a very exciting opportunity for both employers and employees in that it improves the mobility of tyre technicians by providing them with a nationally recognised licence designed to demonstrate their competency.
Similar self-regulation schemes have proven highly effective in other industries. This programme has been designed by industry for industry and is in direct response to a training needs analysis carried out with members.
