Kumho OE on Cupra Terramar

Kumho Tyre it is to supply original equipment (OE) tyres for the Cupra Terramar hybrid SUV, which has just launched in Ireland.

The Terramar will be fitted with 235/55 R18 size Ecsta PS71 SUV sports tyres, the primary model in Kumho’s Ecsta lineup.

The Ecsta PS71 SUV has been engineered with structural reinforcements tailored to the characteristics of SUV. The tyre maximises the contact area, enhancing braking performance and fuel efficiency. It is optimised to deliver exceptional handling and braking capabilities on both dry and wet surfaces.

The Ecsta PS71 lineup includes a wide range of options such as SUV tyres, passenger car radial (PCR) tyres, and electric vehicle tyres.

“We are excited to supply tyres for the Terramar, a new model that is gaining increasing popularity,” said Kim In-soo, head of sales division – OE at Kumho Tyre. “We will leverage our technological expertise in larger, high-performance tyres to further expand our tyre supply capabilities.”

Kumho recently begun supplying OE tyres for the Volkswagen T7, the Passat and the Skoda Superb, and it has been strengthening its strategic partnerships with global automakers.
