In addition to its current range of tyres for passenger cars, SUVs, off-road vehicles, sports cars, vans and trucks, Kumho’s eye-catching 300 square metre stand at Reifen, Essen, Germany this week featured numerous new products for a variety of tyre segments, including one for electric and hybrid vehicles; all of which are likely to be available to consumers between Autumn this year and Spring 2017.

Kumho also hosted the world premiere of the company’s brand new UHP winter tyre, the WinterCraft WP71. The WinterCraft WP71 is intended for medium to large-sized passenger cars and is notable for the V-shaped lateral grooves running from the centre to the shoulder area of its tread design.

These provide enhanced water displacement and excellent handling on wet roads – the braking distance on such surfaces is 14 percent shorter than those achieved by its predecessor. The new tyre will be available in certain markets in time for the next winter and in all major fitments from 16 to 19 inches
