Kumho expanding tyre production in Vietnam

Kumho Tire is investing around €285 million in its operations in Vietnam to increase production capacity in the country by over a quarter (26%).

According to a report on Binh Duong government’s website, Kumho Tire Vietnam signalled the investment plan during a recent meeting with the local authorities.

The Vietnam plant has been operational since 2007, and currently produces 12.5 million units of passenger car and light commercial vehicle tyres per year, having undergone expansion in 2021.

The next phase of expansion will increase production to 17 million units per year and is expected to be operational in 2026.
