The Irish Tyre Industry Association (ITIA) is warning members not to respond to a “phishing” email, which purports to come from the association, seeking payment on an outstanding invoice.
The email comes from a bogus email address, ITIA2005@outlook.com and is no way associated with the ITIA.
Sue O’Neill, CEO of the ITIA commented: “It has come to our attention that a number of members have received a phishing email regarding payment for an outstanding invoice. This has not come from our domain and was not sent by us. It would appear that the third party who created this email did so in the hope that you would reply to the email.”
She continued: “A number of members have replied to the email. This is a fake email and has not been sent by us and should be deleted, do not respond to this email.”
