ITIA offers nationwide free tyre safety checks

A total of 115 Irish Tyre Industry Association member outlets nationwide took part in providing the tyre safety checks to the motoring public and gave out free safety packs to all who had their tyres checked., during Road Safety Week.

Members who signed up for the week received the safety packs along with posters, templates for signage and an advert and an outline of how to undertake a supermarket car park safety day.

Kevin Farrell, ITIA president commented: ‘This year our aim was to get members more active in their own locality. For a lot of us going out of our premises and engaging with motorists in a supermarket car park is a very new concept. Any members who did get out and set up in their local supermarket did get to meet many new and prospective customers and got more people to think about the safety of their tyres.”
