ITIA meets with new RSA CEO
The Irish Tyre Industry Association (ITIA) has met with the Road Safety Authority’s new CEO, Moyagh Murdock to discuss ongoing tyre safety issues.
ITIA President, Kevin Farrell and Secretary, Anne Marie Lambe met with Ms. Murdock at the RSA headquarters in Ballina earlier this week.
Ms Murdock updated us on the Part Worn Tyre consultation, which is still being processed. An outcome from the consultation is expected this month.
Kevin Farrell updated Ms Murdock on the continuing uptake of ITIA Retail Licenses and the success of regional ATA accreditations, held nationally.
“We are most fortunate to have an incoming CEO of the Road Safety Authority who has such a

comprehensive knowledge of not only the technical workings of tyres but also the safety threats to our Industry. look forward to continuing our close working relationship with the RSA and wish Ms Murdock the best in her new role,” Farrell said.
