The Irish Tyre Industry Association (IRHA) held and a Retailers’ Meeting and Tyre Label seminar in the Mullingar Park Hotel, Mullingar Co. Westmeath last Saturday.

In his keynote address ITIA President Kevin Farrell, said that as a retailer, was acutely aware of the difficulties the industry is going through at the moment.

“It is bad enough that the Recession has meant a drop in turnover of approximately 30 per cent but we have also had to contend with our business being undermined by the onslaught of rogue traders that have sprung up all over the country, selling part worn tyres,” he said.
