The introduction of the new Environmental Management Charge (EMC) on waste truck tyres, will result in haulage operators purchasing their replacement tyres out of state, according to FTA Ireland.

FTA Ireland says that the imposition of the Environmental Management Charge (EMC) on truck tyres will simply increase the local cost, forcing operators to move their tyre purchasing into Northern Ireland, or Britain, where the EMC does not apply.
