Hankook expands European R&D centre

Hankook continues to focus on research and development in Europe, with the expansion of its European R&D centre that focuses on the development of bespoke tyre solutions for the European markets as well as original equipment according to the requirements of leading European car manufacturers.

The expansion reflects the growing importance of Hankook’s OE supplies in Europe and will further strengthen the company’s footprint in the European tyre market.

Founded in 1997, the Hankook ETC has seen steady growth in the past fifteen years, expanding manpower and development capacities from an original staff of five to currently 45 engineers and tyre specialists.
