Grabber AT3 wins campervan tyre test
The Grabber AT3 all-terrain tyre was crowned winner in a tyre test performed by German campervan magazine promobil, as its put a range of all-season tyres to the test.
The tyre from off-road specialist General Tire showed “safe braking, very good traction and very good cornering grip”. Testers also praised the tyre’s wet handling and low noise levels. “Far above average” was the verdict on its winter performance.
In the test, it received a “very good” rating. After the off-road tests, the editors wrote: “In the mud, the Grabber pulls itself safely out of the dirt at all times, even on dirt roads. Easy to start, good traction from a standstill”.
General Tire, a brand of Continental, says its all-terrain tyre combines robust traction on rough, loose and muddy surfaces with good grip on snow-covered roads. This is achieved by its multiple biting edges, that interlock securely in the snow. As a 4×4 tyre for SUVs and typical AWD vehicles, it is a good all-season tyre with high traction.
