Goodyear gears up for 2013 truck racing season

Goodyear is gearing up for its ninth year supplying race tyres to the European Truck Racing Championship.

The ten-round championship got underway at the weekend at Misano, Italy and Goodyear is supplying all teams throughout the season with its specially produced Goodyear Truck Racing tyres.

Goodyear Racing tyres, which have been specifically designed and developed for the European Truck Racing Championship, are the only type approved by the sport’s governing body, the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA). They will be available to all entrants with supply and support at every race.

Spectators can look forward to a thrilling season this year as it was last when the eventual 2012 FIA European Truck Race Champion and 2011 Champion, Jochen Hahn, took the title challenge to the wire in a two-man battle between him and former champion Antonio Albacete, both in MAN trucks and on Goodyear tyres.

The truck race program for 2013 will comprise ten races and all tyres for the series will be supplied and serviced by European Truck Racing series promoter TRO (Truck Racing Organisation). They will have a dedicated team, with a mobile workshop at every race, to mount the tyres for all entrants as well as supply other technical assistance.
