First look at Dunlop BTCC line-up for 2014

Catering for motorsport enthusiasts and trade professionals alike, Autosport International is the perfect environment to celebrate success on and off the track. As part of the newly signed partnership extension, Dunlop is exhibiting in conjunction with the MSA British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) at the NEC, Birmingham.

At the close of this year’s BTCC season, it was announced that the leading tyre manufacturer will extend the sole-supplier partnership that began in 2003. The multi-year contract means that Dunlop will continue to supply all of the teams with Sport Maxx Soft, Medium and Hard compounds as well as BluResponse Wet tyres.

The stand will display an array of BTCC cars with Andrew Jordan’s championship winning vehicle as the centrepiece and will offer exclusive insights in to the 2014 season. As part of this activity, a number of the race teams will take the opportunity to launch their 2014 livery.

“We’re really pleased to be returning to Autosport International this year with the BTCC,” commented Andy Marfleet, Dunlop’s brand manager,

“Particularly following our announcement of an extended partnership with one of the most important championships in Europe. Although the sole-supplier partnership began with BTCC in 2003, Dunlop has been actively involved in the championship since 1958.”

“We at Dunlop are passionate about innovation. We demonstrated that at the BTCC last year with the launch of the Soft Option tyre, which must be used in one race at each race weekend. The introduction has added a new strategic element which has been well received by fans and teams… Just ask them yourself during the driver signings on our stand during the spectator days.”
