The owner of a vehicle repair workshop in Denver, Colorado has designed and patented a piece of equipment that he claims makes tyre rotations and service repairs easier and safer for professionals.
Entitled TRAC (Tire Rotation Assistance Cart), the piece of equipment won best new product in the Tools & Equipment category at last November’s SEMA Show in Las Vegas, and owner Kevin Robinson revealed his inspiration behind the product.
Robinson decided to design the TRAC after watching technicians in his shop, Clean Cars of Denver, struggle with handling tyres and wheels during servicing.
The TRAC is a heavy-duty welded steel construction with steel base rollers, which offer tyre support and rolling convenience.
It features a quick-Lift hydraulic pump for precise height and tyre support, as well as solid, locking swivel-stem casters for advanced mobility.
Telescoping support bar keeps tyres securely in-place, and convenient lug nut holder provide easy access and increased efficiency.
The unit is designed to support up to approximately 225 kilos and can accommodate tyres with outside diameters of up to 43 inches.
