Continued success for Bridgestone Blizzak LM005 in winter tests

Over the past three years, the Bridgestone Blizzak LM005 has won no fewer than 17 industry tests and, once again, the winter 2022 tests have seen the tyre heavily featuring towards the top of industry rankings.

The Bridgestone Blizzak LM005 was awarded Test Winner in Auto Bild Sportscars’ winter tyre test 2022. Offering “balanced performance, good winter qualities and no slip-ups”, Bridgestone’s flagship winter tyre received Auto Bild Sportscars’ “Exemplary” seal of approval.

Auto Bild Sportscars highlighted “very good snow qualities, high steering precision, dynamic wet and dry handling, short snow and wet braking distances, pleasant ride comfort and fuel-saving rolling resistance” as the Bridgestone Blizzak LM005’s winning attributes.

The result follows on from success in the recent Auto Express and Auto Zeitung winter tyre tests, where the Bridgestone Blizzak LM005 took a podium place for the third year in a row. Its shortest braking distances on wet roads, and top performances for dry braking and handling proved key to these plaudits.

The Auto Zeitung winter tyre test highlighted the Bridgestone Blizzak LM005’s enduring qualities and excellent performance when the conditions get tough.

Bridgestone’s flagship winter tyre finished second overall in the test, with Auto Zeitung praising its “extremely good” performance on wet and dry roads. It passed the magazine’s aquaplaning tests with “top results”, and Auto Zeitung added: “The grip in deceleration measurements and on the handling track is impressive.”

The result follows on from an impressive showing at the Auto Express Winter Test 2022. The Bridgestone Blizzak LM005 topped the podium for wet braking and wet handling and took a well-deserved second place overall in the rankings.
