In a move to further support Continental Tyres expansive fleet business and more specifically its Conti360° Fleet Services, the company has announced the creation of two new independent departments to oversee the areas of Fleet Support and Truck Tyre Marketing across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
Martin Burdorf (41) will take charge of fleet management while Barry Guildford (36) will become the new marketing chief. In their new roles, both will report directly to Herbert Mensching, Director of Marketing and Sales Truck Tyres EMEA.
Martin Burdorf has been with Continental since 1991 and worked in the sales organisation as a fleet account manager, key account manager and regional sales manager before switching to Continental Industrial Tyres in 2003. Most recently he was responsible for global marketing in the division before taking over fleet management for truck tyres.
Barry Guildford brings his many years of experience in marketing and sales to the post of marketing manager. He began his career in 2001 with Continental in the UK where he held various management positions in brand management, marketing communications and eBusiness. More recently, he has focused on sales for both trade and fleet, across all industry sectors, before moving to Continental headquarters in Hanover as Head of Marketing for truck tyres.
