Continental is now supplying its TractorMaster and Tractor85 agricultural tyre ranges to John Deere’s Iowa factory in the United States for OE fitment on the John Deere 7R and 8R tractor lines.
These large tractors require tyres with external diameters of up to 2.05 metres and rim diameters up to 50-inches. This arrangement builds upon Continental’s supply to John Deere in Europe, where its tyres have been fitted to tractors produced at the Mannheim factory in Germany since 2019.
With the TractorMaster and Tractor85, Continental says it offers versatile agricultural tyres. Thanks to the d.fine lug technology, the lug surface is larger than standard tyres, while a high lug overlap leads to smooth driving behaviour and less vibration.
In addition, thanks to the N.flex technology, the tyres have a high degree of dimensional stability and clash resistance, which enable the tyres to adapt to uneven ground, according to the tyre maker.
Jens Mund, key account manager for OE agri tyres at Continental said: “The agricultural tyres TractorMaster and Tractor85 are ideally suited for use on different soil conditions. Thanks to the flexible nylon carcass, they provide the farmer with the best possible support in his work, whether on the field or on the road.”
