Continental is introducing a 385/65 R 22.5 version of the Generation 2+ steer axle tyre to its product range. The advanced HSL 2+ front axle tyre is now available in a total of 11 different sizes.

The range includes four XL versions of the long distance tyre for front axle loads of up to eight tonnes, as Continental recognises the increasing load on the front axle for vehicles with heavier drive trains to meet the Euro 6 emissions standard.

The 385/65 R 22.5 steering axle tyre is ideally suited to long distance operations and provides good directional stability, precise steering and excellent ride comfort.

The latest version also provides excellent wet grip through micro-sipes in the longitudinal grooves, and broad drainage channels, while the innovative casing structure ensures long life and good retreadability.

In terms of the EU tyre label, the new 385/65 R 22.5 version of the HSL 2+ scores “B” for wet grip, “C” for rolling resistance and, being a low noise tyre, one sound wave for noise emissions.
