Bridgestone has a strong presence at the Paris Motor Show, which opened to the public on Saturday and continues to October 14.

Bridgestone is rolling out an innovative TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) across Europe in order to provide a more thorough pressure maintenance service to contract fleet customers. With service provision supplied by Truck Point, tyres requiring attention are not only identified but also serviced back to peak condition.

In today’s tough economic climate, transport fleets face constant pressure to reduce operating costs. Bridgestone has taken up this challenge and demonstrates why truck fleet operators should concentrate not on price, but on the cost per kilometer over the total tyre life.

Bridgestone has developed new truck and bus tyre manufacturing technology that will result in both significant resource conservation and enhanced fuel efficiency. The new technology is called TRISAVER, a reference to the three types of savings it enables: savings of costs, resources and CO2 emissions.

As of 1 November 2012, all passenger tyres sold in the European Union must be labelled with an official EU tyre label. This label contains information about three important criteria that form the basis for evaluating tyre performance: wet grip, fuel efficiency and exterior noise.
