Bridgestone’s Peter Doyle retires after 38 years
Bridgestone Ireland’s longest serving truck driver, Peter Doyle, has retired after 38 years of service.
Doyle began delivering tyres in 1987 for Bridgestone’s Irish distributor, Equipment Company of Ireland (ECI), and transferred to Bridgestone when it started its own distribution here. He delivered tyres throughout Ireland and during his time covered routes that visited every county.
“Peter was an ambassador for the company over many years with great customer relationships and always took pride in his work and his company,” said Colm Conyngham, marketing and public relations manager, Bridgestone Ireland.
“It has been a great strength for Bridgestone in Ireland that our tyres are delivered by people like Peter.”
Peter Doyle is originally from Dublin and is now resident in Drogheda, Co. Louth. He says he has no immediate plans for retirement other than “starting the day a little later”!
