Bridgestone staff volunteer at Barretstown Camp

Bridgestone Ireland staff recently volunteered to carry out maintenance and garden tasks at Barretstown Camp for seriously ill children in Co. Kildare.

The company has a long term association with the Barretstown Camp and has pledged to continue this in the future. Bridgestone is planning to partner with environmental and mobility solution projects at the Co. Kildare facility.

Barretstown provides respite breaks for seriously ill children and their families with an action filled programme of fun activities and full medical supervision provided onsite.

“We are very happy to continue our long association with Barretstown Camp and it was great to see many willing volunteers from the Bridgestone staff lending a hand recently,” said Colm Conyngham, Marketing and Public Relations Manager, Bridgestone Ireland.

Barretstown was founded by the late Paul Newman who was connected to Bridgestone through his Newman Haas racing team which raced on both Bridgestone and Firestone tyres in a number of US racing series.
