Bridgestone investing over €167m in large tyre production in Japan

Bridgestone Corporation has announced a total investment of around 27 billion yen (€167.8 million) to expand capacity at three of its passenger car tyre production facilities in Japan.

Through its Hikone, Tosu and Tochigi plants, Bridgestone expects to boost capacity for Enliten and larger rim diameter tyres.

The company said it will increase overall production capacity by around 3,000 tyres a day, mainly in the 20-inch and larger size category where demand is anticipated to grow.

Bridgestone added that it will commence work on the project early in 2025 and plans to complete it by the end of 2028.
