Bridgestone has invested approximately €28m to increase the capacity of its tyre production plant and warehouse in Tatabánya, Hungary. The Hungarian warehouse can now store more than 600,000 tyres.
The tyre maker has also been implementing a substantial increase to its production technology enabling it to grow its output to 7.2 million tyres annually in the coming years.

Bridgestone’s plant in Tatabánya manufactures premium passenger car, SUV and van tyres for prestige category vehicles in more than 230 sizes. Most of the innovative and safe, summer, winter and all-season tyres manufactured in the plant are exported to European and overseas markets, but is increasingly supplying tyres directly to international and Hungarian car production plants.
The plant’s MD, Melinda Topolcsik said it is now one of the most modern Bridgestone plants in Europe.
