Bridgestone highlights key products at Ploughing Championships

Bridgestone Ireland had a very successful time at the Irish National Ploughing Championships recently with strong foot fall on the stand and significant sales prospects gathered across AG, TBR and 4×4 customers.

With the sun shinning in Ratheniska, Co. Laois, Bridgestone showed its range of tractor tyres, truck tyres and highlighted its key 4×4 products. Featuring a strongly branded stand, situated on one of the main walkways, it’s estimated that a high percentage of the 244,000 visitors to the show saw the Bridgestone display or visited the stand over the three days.

The key product focus was on the Bridgestone VX and VX-R tractor tyres, the recently introduced Duravis Severe Duty and the Dueler All Terrain A/T 002.  The stand also featured the latest model Scania truck with a significant crane, New Holland tractor and INEOS 4×4, all fitted with Bridgestone OE tyres.

The stand welcomed a mixture of visitors from rural Ireland including farmers, agricultural contractors, tyre dealers, agri-business transport operators, tyre dealers, and 4×4 drivers and enthusiasts. Bridgestone Ireland staff highlighted all the products benefits and directed potential customers to Bridgestone sales partners where appropriate.

“We have been exhibiting at the Ploughing Championships for over 30 years now as it is the largest audience available at any event in Ireland, and particularly delivers the rural community,” says Colm Conyngham, Marketing and PR Specialist, Bridgestone Ireland.

“This year we had representation from all product groups and we were encouraged at the interest in our latest TBR and 4×4 products in addition to the agricultural tyres which are always popular.”

Bridgestone Ireland’s presence at the Ploughing Championships was made up of a cross company team including Andrew Dowdall, Colm Conyngham, Conor Curran, Shane Landers and Conor Burns.

Bridgestone Ireland was very grateful for the support and attendance from Stephen Lamb, Bridgestone UK, who was invaluable with his encyclopedic knowledge of tractor tyres and their operation. He also promoted the new Bridgestone Club to farmers throughout the event.
