Bridgestone is set to introduce its Enliten Technology to the United States and Canadian markets.
The 2021 Nissan Rogue will go on sale across the pond with Bridgestone’s Alenza Sport A/S tyre with Enliten Technology as original equipment. This is the first vehicle in the US and Canada to feature tyres with Bridgestone’s Enliten Technology.
Enliten Technology contributes to improved fuel efficiency by reducing tyre weight and delivering low rolling resistance. Tyres with Enliten Technology also require fewer raw materials to be produced, helping to deliver environmental benefits, according to Bridgestone.
In addition to its sustainable advantages, Enliten Technology is designed for enhanced vehicle handling.
Bridgestone launched its materials-reducing tyre technology in Europe earlier this year on Turanza Eco tyres specially engineered for Volkswagen’s all-electric ID.3.
Shannon Quinn, president, original equipment, US and Canada, Bridgestone Americas said: “We are continuously working to advance our products, services and solutions to deliver new value for our customers and society.
“Supplying the 2021 Nissan Rogue with our Alenza Sport A/S tyre with Enliten technology is a testament to our commitment to these efforts and our longstanding relationship with Nissan.”
