Bridgestone Driving for Life receives Platinum Disc

Bridgestone Ireland’s Colm Conyngham has received a platinum gold disc almost 20 years after the successful distribution of a road safety and driver training video, ‘Bridgestone Driving for Life’.

Produced, scripted and filmed by motoring journalists Tony Toner and Michael Sheridan, the video promoted good driving habits, not just to pass the driving test, but good habits and techniques that lead to better and safer driving for life.

The video was distributed by EMI and sold very well at the time of its launch. Conyngham worked with Toner and Sheridan to launch and promote the video when it was released for sale. Due to an oversight at the time the discs were never presented.

“It was a great surprise to receive the platinum disc recently, I’m particularly happy for Tony and Michael who put a lot work into the video with content and a message that is still relevant today,” said Colm Conyngham, marketing and public relations manager, Bridgestone Ireland.

“Road safety is once again central to Bridgestone’s activities and I hope we can now pick up where we left off promoting vehicle maintenance and good driving habits to young drivers,” added Colm.
