Bridgestone Blizzak LM005 takes winter tyre test win

The Bridgestone Blizzak LM005 has continued its winning streak into the new testing season, emerging as the test winner in Auto Motor und Sport’s 2023 winter tyre test.

This latest win means the Blizzak LM005 has reached the top of the podium in an independent tyre test for the 19th time since its launch in 2019.

The Bridgestone Blizzak LM005 has already proven in the past what is important in winter conditions and is once again at the top at the start of this year’s winter tyre test season.

The leading product in Bridgestone’s Blizzak series remained in the minds of the test experts of the German trade magazine – in particular as a tyre that “makes no mistakes on dry roads” and can also convince in the wet with top marks.

In Auto Motor und Sport’s winter tyre test, the BlizzaK LM005 – tested in the 255/45 R20 dimension for its dry, wet and snow qualities on both electric vehicles and internal combustion engines – was considered the “best in the test” and achieved top rankings in the wet as well as on dry roads.

The tyre was awarded the highest score in the particularly safety-relevant wet braking and convinced testers with “outstanding grip and best aquaplaning protection”.

The winter specialist also stood out in the environmental ranking with the best rolling resistance: “First choice for battery-electric vehicles,” summed up the experts at Auto Motor und Sport as they declared the Blizzak LM005 the test winner.
