Brett Emerson set to retire from Bridgestone
Brett Emerson, the consumer business unit director at Bridgestone EMEA, has announced that he will retire from the company at the end of March.
Emerson has been working in the tyre industry for over 35 years, during which he held senior management positions for both Bridgestone and Hankook Tyres, including sales director UK and Ireland at Bridgestone, and managing director Hankook Tyres UK.

In a social media post, Emerson said his third stint at Bridgestone “officially” ends on 31st March 2025.
“After joining Bridgestone in October 1988 as a sales order clerk, I have to say I have been on a fabulous and amazing journey with Bridgestone (and Hankook & Toyo) and in the UK / Ireland tyre industry,” he noted.
“Having worked for Bridgestone from 1988-1995, 1997-2014 and from 2019 to present day, I have witnessed many changes in both Bridgestone and in the tyre industry together, as well as making and enjoying some amazing friendships with colleagues and customers along the way, and I am blessed to have worked in what I consider to be a real ‘People’s Industry’.
“Bridgestone has given me so many opportunities to develop and grow as a person, as well as some awesome experiences of which there are too many to list, but also providing so many stories to talk about.”
He added: “Going forward, I am leaving the Bridgestone consumer products team in a very strong position. We have fantastic people, backed up with superb products, and a strong a committed team supporting the consumer business unit.”
Look ahead, Emerson said he will be dedicating himself to existing and new hobbies.
