BKT completes tyre mould plant at Bhuj

BKT has announced the completion of its new tyre mould plant at its Bhuj site in Gujarat, India, which it says marks a significant milestone in its ongoing efforts to expand and modernise its largest production facility.

The new mould plant is part of an investment of around €32.8 million (Rs 3 billion) and is expected to significantly enhance BKT’s production capabilities.

As of early 2022, BKT’s overall achievable capacity stood at approximately 285,000 units per annum. With the new plant operational, the company now aims to increase this capacity to 360,000 units per annum by the end of the financial year 2024.

According to BKT, the new mould plant at Bhuj not only represents a significant financial investment but also a commitment to innovation and quality that will drive the company’s growth in the years to come.
