Avon expands WX7 winter range with 12 new sizes

Avon has expanded its WX7 winter tyre range, increasing access to a broad spectrum of cars with 12 additional sizes between 17 and 19 inches, bringing the total size of the range to 29.

According to Avon, WX7 boasts great performance on snow, ice, slush and in wet conditions, as well as excellent handling thanks to a range of technologies that optimise it for winter performance.

Technology-centred manufacturing is said to be a cornerstone of the Avon brand. The Avon WX7 features reliable technology to deliver better grip, handling and braking in winter conditions.

Avon says the winter line extension confirms the brand’s continued commitment to the European market with a comprehensive range of products and fitments.

The Avon WX7’s centre grooves are designed with serrated edges that trap the snow, giving enhanced ‘snow-on-snow’ grip. Meanwhile, a solid centre rib helps improve handling and steering response on wet or icy roads.

The 3D micro-gauge siping technology provides improved braking performance across a range of wintry conditions.

Avon remains an important brand in Goodyear’s portfolio thanks to its brand recognition and long history, having produced high-quality tyres since 1904. Avon remains a key consideration for price-conscious consumers who seek durable and reliable tyres.

“The new sizes will be available this month, allowing dealers time to order ahead of the winter season.”
